Free Trees – Interested?
The Parish Council has received an email (text below) from the Parks and Woodlands Officer at North Northamptonshire Council. It seems to indicate that this offer is open to any landowners who are interested in tree planting. Interested?

Subject: Tree Planting Support for Parish Councils – North Northamptonshire Council
Good Afternoon,
I’m Hannah Dunstan, a Parks and Woodlands Officer for North Northamptonshire Council. I work with community groups, Parish Councils and Schools throughout North Northamptonshire to plant trees and hedgerows on their land.
I would like to offer my support to Parish Councils if they would like to plant trees on their land or any other landowners who are interested in tree planting. We would be able to provide you with free trees to plant for smaller scale planting projects as well as support for larger scale woodland creation schemes. The trees we can provide will be small saplings around 30-60cm in height and are ideal for volunteer planting events.
If this is something the Parish Council are interested in, please let me know and I will be happy to assist. Tree planting season takes place in the winter months between November and March.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with me and I look forward to hearing about your tree planting plans.
Kind Regards,
Hannah
